Location: Remote
Job Type: Contract
Payout: $30–$90/hour
Role Overview
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Network Security Engineer to work on a contract basis. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network infrastructure to protect against cyber threats.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring network traffic
- Analyzing security incidents
- Ensuring compliance with security policies
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain:
- Firewalls
- VPNs
- Intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS)
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks
- Monitor network traffic for anomalies and respond to security incidents in real time
- Develop and enforce:
- Network security policies
- Standards
- Procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into network architecture

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Computer Science
- Cybersecurity
- Similar field
- 3+ years of experience in:
- Network security engineering
- Related roles
- Proficiency configuring and managing security tools, including:
- SIEM (Security Information and Event Management)
- IDS/IPS
- Firewalls
- Strong understanding of:
- TCP/IP protocols
- Routing protocols
- Network infrastructure
- Experience with:
- Penetration testing
- Threat analysis
- Incident response
