Network Technician
Location Northampton, Daventry, Rothwell, Wellingborough, Kettering, Corby, Huntingdon, Rushden and Easton on the Hill
Contract
- Full-time: 37 hours/week
- Permanent (with flexibility for Part-Time)
Salary circa £34,258 + 24% increase for standby at the beginning of the salary

Who we are Integrated Maintenance, Repair, and Development Services (IMRDS) maintains water supply systems, reacts to emergencies (like water bursts), and develops new ways to better serve customers.
IMRDS operates as part of the Embedded Alliance, collaborating with external organisations for skill-sharing and deploying the best resources for tasks.
The Role: Water Network Technician
What You’ll Be Doing
- Join the Network Technicians team to ensure clean, safe water reaches customers.
- Perform daily varied tasks, including:
- Planned maintenance
- Responding to emergency requirements
- Flushing
- Conducting surveys, leak detection, pressure/flow tests
- Valve operations
- Resolving planned/reactive operational problems
- Travel in a fully-equipped van to maintain water quality across the region.
- Provide customer-facing service:
- Liaise with customers as Anglian Water’s representative
- Assure customers through explanation (requiring clear communication skills)
- Receive on-the-job training and job shadowing.
- Work toward becoming:
- NRSWA-accredited
- Licence to Operate (LTO) trained

Requirements
- Education: GCSE-level education (or equivalent).
- Experience:
- Experience within an engineering industry (preferably front-line service).
- Ideally, experience with water networks, streetworks, leakage control.
- Technical skills:
- Strong technical aptitude.
- Customer skills:
- Professional customer contact (ability to explain technical terminology)
- Proven high customer service.
- Flexibility:
- 37-hour workweek with flexible hours.
- Standby rota inclusive of overtime.
