What you’ll be responsible for

  • You will be a part of a high performing team responsible for managing an operational area to achieve regulatory, customer, and performance related targets.
  • Ensure the sewerage infrastructure is managed to the highest standard whilst working within the agreed budgetary targets.
  • Assisting the Network Manager with the safe & efficient operation of the sewerage network, ensuring that all operational activities are undertaken in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner.
  • Ensure all investigations are of the highest standard and undertaken in compliance with the relevant management procedure.
  • Provision of technical support to service providers and Welsh Water operational staff.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in line with Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Assisting the Network Manager with external stakeholders to develop and maintain strong regulatory relationships, e.g. Natural Resources Wales representatives, and participation with community groups when appropriate.
  • Assessing asset condition utilising looksee CCTV equipment.
  • Surface water rebate inspections.
  • Assist the Network Manager with the effective management of the operational budget, through the promotion of effective repairs once a full investigation has been undertaken.
  • Representing the company during incidents with outside agencies such as the emergency services, EHO, Local government, etc.
  • Emergency Response – provision and testing of appropriate functional contingency plans.
  • Participating in a Standby rota to ensure we offer the highest standards to our customer 24hrs a day.
  • Effective Liaison with Highway Authorities with regards to Streetworks defects.
  • Undertaking any other duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
