About Us

Job title: Network & Telecoms Analyst

Salary Range: £46,206 – £62,451 per annum

Permanent – Fulltime

Location: Richmond and Wandsworth

Richmond and Wandsworth Better Service Partnership is a shared public service organisation supporting Richmond and Wandsworth Councils. We deliver vital services to our communities and are continually evolving our Digital, Data & Technology (DDaT) function to be more agile, secure and resilient.

A position exists within the Network & Telecoms team for a Network Analyst. In this role, you will support and maintain the council’s network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security and performance across sites and services.

You will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the network, helping to support wired and wireless connectivity, resolve incidents, and contribute to ongoing improvements and transformation projects.

About The Role

  • Supporting and maintaining network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls)
  • Monitoring network performance and proactively resolving issues
  • Diagnosing and fixing network faults and incidents
  • Assisting with upgrades, migrations and network improvement projects
  • Supporting network security controls and responding to vulnerabilities
  • Maintaining accurate technical documentation and network diagrams
  • Working with suppliers and internal teams to resolve technical issues

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with enterprise network technologies (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi, firewalls, VPNs)
  • Understanding of network monitoring, troubleshooting and performance optimisation
  • Knowledge of network security principles and best practice
  • Experience with network hardware such as switches, routers and wireless solutions
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical colleagues
  • Ability to work effectively in a live service environment

Essential Qualifications, Skills And Experience

  • Experience working in a public sector or complex multi-site organisation
  • Exposure to cloud or hybrid networking (e.g. Azure networking)
  • Familiarity with tools such as Aruba, Fortinet, SolarWinds or similar
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams Voice, SIP, SBCs, Direct Routing and call flow fundamentals.
