Neurodevelopmental Practitioner - Neurodevelopmental Service

Senior Neurodevelopmental Specialist – Paediatric Role

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC)

About the Organisation

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing approximately 40,000 staff across clinical and non-clinical roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to over 1.15 million residents (extending to 2.2 million when regional services are included).

Our Specialist Children’s Services—encompassing Community Paediatrics, CAMHS, Neurodevelopmental & Acute Paediatrics—are at the forefront of supporting children, young people, and their families. We embrace a compassionate, person-centred approach grounded in kindness, innovation, and sustained professional growth.

The Role

We are seeking two permanent roles (one full-time (36 hours) and one part-time (14.4 hours)) to support our Neurodevelopmental Pathway. You will:

  • Assess, diagnose, and formulate care for children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions.
  • Collaborate across multi-disciplinary agencies (health, education, social care) to deliver uni-professional added value.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate person-centred care plans in partnership with families.
  • Provide specialist guidance to carers, educators, and partner services.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to service improvement, clinical governance, and audit.

Location: West Centre, Kinfauns Drive, Drumchapel, Mon-Fri 09:00–17:00

Key Responsibilities

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
