We are looking for a New Business Account Executive to serve as the primary point of contact for prospective clients and assist in uncovering how Old Mill can support their goals.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves meeting new people, uncovering opportunities, and building meaningful relationships. The role involves playing a key part in connecting businesses with the right experts across our firm, ensuring positive experiences begin from the very first conversation.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll serve as the welcoming face of Old Mill for prospective clients, managing enquiries and guiding opportunities through early stages of the client journey. Daily responsibilities include:
- Responding to and qualifying inbound new business enquiries
- Building relationships with prospective clients to understand their needs and ambitions
- Identifying opportunities to introduce businesses to the right specialists across Old Mill
- Generating and nurturing new business opportunities through:
- Networking
- Referrals
- Proactive outreach
- Maintaining an organised pipeline of opportunities and follow-up activities
- Attending events and networking opportunities, representing Old Mill within the business community

Qualifications and Requirements
we’re looking for someone who possesses a good knowledge and understanding of accountancy practices and their applications in business. An ideal candidate will:
- Share our values and enjoy establishing genuine connections
- Bring experience in a client-facing, business development, sales, or account management role
- Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Demonstrate confidence in discussions with business owners and decision-makers
- Showcase strong organisational skills, with an ability to manage multiple priorities and pipelines
- Be naturally curious and keen to understand how businesses operate
- Maintain a proactive mindset and a willingness to take ownership
- Exhibit good commercial awareness and a keen interest in helping businesses succeed
