Job Title: New Business Executive (South West)

Salary: £30,000 - £34,500 per annum + Company Car/Allowance + Commission + Benefits!

Location: Hybrid working, roving 3 days a week + home-based 2 days a week

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours

Job Status: Permanent

Main Purpose of The Role:

We are looking to hire a New Business Executive with the skills to spearhead growth initiatives and identify new opportunities for our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business, to actively seek new buyers. Using data provided, prospecting, analysing market trends and understanding competitor activity.

The role requires a drive to generate individual leads as well as a target portfolio of lapsed buyers, whilst always offering the highest levels of customer service.

The role is a mixture of field travel, visiting customers at their premises, visiting multiple BCA locations across the UK, overnight stay when required and home working.

To be successful in this role you will be expected to go above and beyond for our customers by putting our customers at the heart of everything you do and take on challenges with a natural curiosity to identify improvements with a positive mind set and can-do approach, whilst developing and executing growth strategies and building stakeholder relationships.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Predominantly generate new business, to enable the business to meet the wider growth objectives.
  • Building relationships with potential clients, qualifying leads, and understanding their business challenges
  • Managing a diary, booking appointments, both physical and online meetings.
  • Increasing Share of Wallet
  • Demonstrate BCA’s products and services including (but not limited to) Partner Finance, Part Exchange opportunity, Autos On Show, Bid Now/Buy Now, DealerPro & Cinch.
  • Educate buyers through their onboarding journey, searching for stock, understanding the multiple purchasing platforms including the buying app and utilising self-services capabilities on our platforms including (but not limited to) booking collection, delivery, making payments etc. Ensuring our new buyers understand the policies and procedures of the buying process.
  • Being a point of contact for your new buyers to support their ongoing buying experience
  • Create, build and maintain successful working relationships with Auction Centres / Customer Services and all other BCA businesses.
  • Gain customer insight from Buyers to help make recommendations that can improve marketing effectiveness, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Promote BCA online and physical sales channels, supporting BCA Auction’s, Vendor programmes and online services.
  • Maintain a relationship with the National Accounts team and participating auction centres, keeping them updated with buyer contact activities and requirements.
  • To support you with the management of your portfolio / new business opportunities BCA use a CRM system called Salesforce. Feedback on meetings and any market intelligence is required on a regular basis.
  • Attend training courses to improve product knowledge and self-development, as well as site visits to understand all areas of the business.
  • Attend industry events when required.
  • Ad-hoc. Taking on other tasks outside your normal daily responsibilities when required.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Clean Drivers Licence
  • Fully literate on MS Office mainly Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms such as Salesforce
  • New Business/Business Development experience desirable.
  • Automotive sector background an advantage.
  • Good relationship building skills.
  • Confidence in presenting
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Problem solving
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • Relationship building and networking expertise
  • Self-Motivated and as part of a team
  • Results-driven attitude
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of BCA products and services. (preferable)
  • Ability to deal with conflicts positively and objectively whilst managing and resolving customer dissatisfaction.
