New Business & Marketing Director - Job Description

Position: New Business & Marketing Director

Location: London (3 days in the office, 2 days WFH)

Reporting to: CGO

Direct reports: Team of 2

Overview

Raptor exists to bridge the gap between brands and the real lives of young people. We are a multidisciplinary marketing agency operating at the intersection of where youth meets culture.

In today’s ever-evolving cultural landscape, young audiences expect more from the companies they engage with. Authenticity is non-negotiable, and therefore it's imperative brands must speak to youth culture in ways that resonate both deeply and accurately. At Raptor, we support our clients in navigating this complex terrain by tapping into the real voices and lived experiences of young people around the world.

With a global insight network of over 10,000 young individuals, we’re always in touch with an ever-evolving youth landscape. This direct access allows us to decode what engages and motivates young audiences, ensuring every campaign we craft resonates personally, collectively, and culturally. Whether through immersive live experiences, content, social-first storytelling, brand partnerships, or large-scale sampling campaigns, we design work that meets young people where they are - online, on campus, and in real life.

Headquartered in the UK, but with teams in both Europe and North America, we partner with global culture-led companies - inc. Google, Jägermeister, PepsiCo, Airbnb & Deliveroo - to build campaigns that drive relevance and long-term impact.

The agency is in an unprecedented period of growth, having recently been named in both the Sunday Times 100 (fastest growing private companies in the UK) and the FEBE growth 100.

About You

You’re a commercially driven operator who turns reputation, relationships and momentum into pipeline. You’re comfortable carrying a number and have the discipline to follow an opportunity through from first conversation to close.

You’ll be hands-on across the full new business journey - generating and qualifying leads, nurturing prospects and leading pitches - while being strategic lead on the agency’s marketing engine so the brands, intermediaries and partners who matter think of Raptor when the right briefs land.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment and work comfortably with founders and senior leadership. You’ve managed people before and will lead, train and mentor two direct reports - developing them to support the wider team’s goals. Most importantly, you bring energy, organisation and a genuine interest in brands, culture and Gen Z.

The Role

This role combines revenue ownership, pipeline management, pitch leadership, agency marketing, intermediary relationships and prospect nurturing. You’ll be involved in:

  • Owning the new business target and pipeline

  • Carry and deliver the annual new business revenue target, owning the rhythm from lead generation through to close.

  • Build and maintain a single source of truth for the pipeline, tracking every opportunity by owner, value, stage and next action across all sources.

  • Qualify leads commercially, nurture warm prospects, and maintain a realistic, weighted forecast with senior leadership.

  • Run reputation-led outreach that leverages Raptor’s profile (Sunday Times 100, FEBE Growth 100, ADWEEK Fastest Growing Agency, Industry Awards, marquee clients), and manage referrals from clients and partners.

  • Leading all new business pitch processes

  • Own the end-to-end pitch process for every opportunity, shaping the team, timeline and response.

  • Manage RFIs, RFPs, tenders and credentials requests, and keep Raptor’s pitch materials sharp.

  • Gather intel beforehand, capture learnings afterwards, and drive disciplined follow-up to close at a high win rate.

  • Targeting and lead generation

  • Work with the CGO to manage the ideal client profile, priority sectors and “dream list” of prospects.

  • Manage lead generation activity, partners and the prospect database.

  • Owning agency marketing

  • Lead day-to-day marketing across newsletter, social, website, PR, awards, case studies, events and thought leadership - using the wider team to deliver.

  • Build fame, credibility and warmth among the audiences that matter, contributing tangibly to the pipeline.

  • Credentials, case studies and proof

  • Own the quality and currency of our growth materials: master credentials deck, case studies, sector-specific decks, award submissions and an internal library of proof points.

  • Ensure Raptor always has current, compelling materials ready to go.
