New Business & Marketing Director

The opportunity
We are looking for a pro-active and confident individual to support our Agency Marketing and New Business Team in London.
As a New Business & Marketing Director you will report to the Chief Growth Officer, responsible for driving, planning and management of business development efforts for new and existing B2C and B2B clients across our London office.

How you'd spend your day
- Drive Iris’ Business Development efforts, owing strategic and day-to-day management of projects (search consultant programming and prospecting efforts)
- Develop, write and execute creative and informative RFI/RFP presentations that highlight Iris’ capabilities, resources and outlook
- Ensure research of new business prospect brands and clients is complete with the wider team
- Identify agency/company conflicts
- Track, monitor, and report on actual business development performance against plan
- Be a key part of the presentation team at significant new client meetings
- Conceptualize and develop new business marketing materials and related collateral to support overall marketing efforts.
- Work with PR & Communications Manager delivering our ‘go-to-market strategy’ for business and industry press, and to highlight significant agency resources
- Manage logistics to ensure all efforts are coordinated and running smoothly from start to finish (i.e. organizing team meetings, brainstorming, creative briefs, reviews, and preparing all the material required for the presentation)
- Maintain knowledge of current events within our industry including market trends and emerging competitors
- Manage new business contact database
- Maintain knowledge of Iris talent and core capabilities – become fluent in building teams based on RFP ask
- Contribute to and communicate creative visions to design team and provide insight into the presentation room, design of materials, etc

You will be managing the New business & Marketing Manager
What we're looking for
- Someone with experience in agency marketing & new business
- A proven track record for delivering new revenue and new business opportunities
- Full service, Healthcare, Social, B2B, Performance Marketing, Media and B2C experienced desired, expertise across all is not expected
- Brings to the table existing intermediary/search consultant relationships
- Brings to the tables existing industry press relationships
- Ideally event management experience
- Dynamic leadership, team building, and team management skills
- A solid understanding of the market landscape – big players, industry bodies, key events, biggest influencers, Iris competitors
- Demonstrated ability to operate successfully in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with high energy and vibrance
- Ability to analyse, develop, sell-in, and manage business strategies, plans and business cases
- Strong presentation and senior client-facing skills
- Extreme sensitivity to and respect for working in confidentiality
- Ideally management experience, as they will be responsible a team member
