Description
Join LOCALiQ and make your mark in local media. If you're ambitious, driven and motivated by earning potential, this is an opportunity to build a successful sales career with one of the UK's leading media and marketing businesses.
As a New Business Sales Executive with LOCALiQ, you'll manage your own territory, meeting business owners and decision-makers face-to-face, building relationships and identifying opportunities to help local businesses grow.
This isn't a desk-based role. You'll be out in the field, opening doors, creating opportunities and winning new business through our market-leading portfolio of traditional and digital advertising solutions. From prospecting and booking meetings to presenting solutions and closing deals, you'll take ownership of the full sales cycle. No two days are the same. One day you'll be meeting a local independent business, the next you'll be helping a larger organisation attract new customers. You'll have the backing of some of the UK's most recognised local media brands, a strong product portfolio and the support to build a successful client base of your own.
We're looking for confident, resilient people who enjoy meeting customers, building relationships and making things happen. Sales experience is valuable, but attitude, energy and determination are what really matter.
In return, you'll benefit from a competitive basic salary, uncapped commission, OTE £42,000, ongoing training and genuine opportunities to progress. If you're looking for a role where your effort directly influences your earnings, your development and your success, you'll fit right in.
This is a field-based role, so you'll need to be based within or near the territory, hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle for business travel and be located in the Wiltshire or surrounding area.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
