The Department
The Venue Sales and Commercial Development Department are responsible for the sales of all our matchday hospitality and premium matchday experiences at Villa Park. We have recently expanded our range with over 15 areas and around 5,000 hospitality covers and we are continuing to grow - offering world-class, premium experiences in the Premier League in an unrivalled atmosphere, helping our guests create the kind of matchday memories that last a lifetime. We have a new opportunity for a New Business Sales Executive to join the team.
The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a New Business Sales Executive to join our team. You will be responsible for driving new business revenue and developing strong client relationships to grow hospitality sales. A key focus of the role is to work in partnership with the Head of Hospitality Sales to support sales into new hospitality developments, while maximising opportunities across all hospitality products and revenue streams. A key responsibility of the role is the effective management of the sales pipeline through the Club's CRM system, ensuring all customer interactions, sales activity, opportunities, and account information are accurately recorded and maintained.
- Regularly review and requalify leads
- Monitor pipeline performance
- Contribute to accurate sales forecasting by analysing business activity and reporting on revenue, conversion rates, and sales performance to the Head of Hospitality
- Represent Aston Villa Football Club at external and internal networking events
- Play a key role in VillaWorks and other commercial initiatives

The Person
You will have demonstratable sales experience in a target driven environment with a proven track record of identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities. You will be a strong, confident negotiator, with proven experience in building reports and strong relationships with external stakeholders from initial contact. You will also be an enthusiastic and motivated individual who has a passion for sales ability to identifying new opportunities, following up on potential leads, and driving the business forward with new customers.

You must have the ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines with the ability to multitask and prioritize appropriately. You will also have strong verbal and written communication skills which are clear, concise, and accurate to internal/external stakeholders. You must be able to work flexible hours as the Club requires, this will include matchday working across evenings and weekends as and when required and you will need to have access to a vehicle and/or the ability to travel between our Club sites; Villa Park and Bodymoor Heath Training Ground.
