New Business Sales Manager

About the Role
Build and develop your territory - A new business role, generating new appointments from strong data and a brilliant CRM.
We are looking for an energised Junior sales machine with B2B sales in the field or a more senior player with energy and ambition.
Responsibilities
- 50% New Business:
- Phone based
- CRM based
- Face to face (Field sales)
- 50% Account Management/Development/Growth
This role would suit:
- A strong BDM looking to get into the field and close new accounts and then manage them, with ongoing face to face visits and revenue generation - Solution sales.
- Someone from a new business technical sales background with engineering and manufacturing exposure and knowledge.
Key Requirements
- Strong work ethic
- New business sales skills and experience
- Ability to come to Rugby, build appointments/pipeline and attend F2F
- Full support from the Sales Director!

This is a hands-on Biz Dev technical sales role where personality counts the most! With a well-established SME that’s ready to grow fast over the next 3–5 years — and they want someone local who can help drive it.
Ideal Candidate
If you live within roughly 30 miles of Rugby/Coventry (CV22) and you’ve either sold bespoke engineering solutions (not catalogue products) OR You want a no red tape no frills SME and opportunity!! Then this one’s for you.
The Role (No corporate fluff)
- 80% New Business:
- Phone based
- CRM based
- Face to face (Field sales)
- Initially new sales - data provided - targeting UK engineering and manufacturing
- Selling high-value, bespoke mechanical / engineering solutions / Services
- Deal sizes typically £50k – £200k
- Customers across manufacturing, automotive, construction & engineering
- Field-based, Midlands-focused, with Warwickshire HQ
- You’ll own the full sales cycle: win it, grow it, develop it
This is about revenue generation, smart prospecting, and then turning new wins into long-term, profitable accounts.

Who This Will Suit
You’ll probably tick most of these:
- 3-10 years excellent proactive new business sales
- Comfortable selling into manufacturing, automotive or construction (No exact exp needed)
- Strong new business hunter mentality, but happy growing accounts too
- Used to field sales and managing your own patch
- Can talk confidently about:
- Who you sell to
- What problems you solve
- Where you’ve won business before
Engineering or mechanical qualification is a nice bonus, not essential at all.
Most importantly — you’re:
- Down to earth
- Commercially sharp
- Self-motivated
- Comfortable dealing with engineers, buyers and decision-makers.
Benefits
- £40,000 - £60,000 (DOE) base salary with Co. Car or Allowance
- Bonus/OTE to be discussed
- 33 days holiday
