Salary: £40,000 Basic | OTE: £75,000–£80,000 + Company Car + Benefits

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced New Car Sales Manager to join a high-performing main dealership. This is a fantastic role for a driven automotive professional looking to lead a successful sales team, maximise profitability, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

You'll be responsible for managing the day-to-day performance of the new car sales department, coaching and developing your team, and ensuring manufacturer standards and dealership targets are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and develop a team of Sales Executives to achieve and exceed sales objectives.
  • Drive new vehicle sales, finance penetration, and value-added product performance.
  • Monitor daily, weekly and monthly KPIs, ensuring sales targets and profitability are achieved.
  • Coach the team through regular one-to-ones, deal reviews and performance management.
  • Ensure every customer receives a first-class buying experience, resulting in high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Manage stock levels and vehicle ordering in line with manufacturer requirements and market demand.
  • Maintain compliance with FCA regulations and dealership sales processes.
  • Work closely with the Head of Business and other department managers to maximise overall dealership performance.
  • Support marketing initiatives, local events and manufacturer campaigns to generate new business opportunities.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience as a New Car Sales Manager, Sales Manager or an experienced Business/Transaction Manager ready to step up.
  • A proven track record of delivering strong sales performance and profitability within a franchised dealership.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching and people management skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to analyse performance and drive improvements.
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.
