Role Overview
One of NHP’s strategic objectives is to ensure all new hospitals integrate innovative national standards for healthcare infrastructure and care delivery. This will need to be achieved via partnerships with other national programmes e.g. the Getting it Right First Time (GiRFT) Programme.
The NHP Clinical Partnerships Lead will provide senior clinical leadership to embed these principles and standards across the New Hospitals Programme, ensuring alignment with national policy, clinical priorities, and system-wide objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior clinical leadership to embed principles and standards across the New Hospitals Programme.
- Ensure alignment with national policy, clinical priorities, and system-wide objectives.
- Lead through strategic influence and collaboration, providing expert clinical advice.
- Convene and connect programmes and stakeholders.
- Deliver robust challenge and assurance.
- Provide targeted improvement support to drive measurable improvements in quality, safety, and patient outcomes in new hospitals.
- Provide senior professional leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality patient care across the New Hospitals Programme.
- Support the GiRFT national reviews ensuring that GiRFT principles are translated into the design, development, and delivery of New Hospitals Programme Schemes.
- Work across senior leaders in the Healthcare Directorate and across NHP and system boundaries.
- Influence strategic decisions, and support the consistent application of clinical standards.
- Drive improvements in care quality, safety, and patient outcomes through expert advice, assurance, and targeted improvement support.
