Customer Assistant – Food Section (16-Hour Late-Night Role) – M&S

Work Pattern

This is a 16-hour shift, often working up to 10pm, including weekends. A full work pattern will be discussed during the interview.

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Assistant, you’ll:

  • Act as a resilient and committed brand ambassador, driving sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Confidently sell and recommend the newest M&S Food products, ensuring customers feel valued.
  • Operate in a high-pressure environment, staying sharp and efficient during peak times.
  • Enhance the customer experience by utilising digital tools like Sparks and in-store devices.
  • Work across multiple tasks — serving, selling, restocking, and helping to boost sales growth.
  • Contribute to a positive, high-energy workplace, ensuring teamwork and seamless service.
  • Adapt quickly to changing demands, as no two shifts will be the same.
