Customer Assistant (Food Section) – Full-Time Position
Work Pattern
- 32-hour week
- Typical finish time: 10pm (late night shift) (Full work pattern details will be discussed during interview.)

Key Responsibilities
- Own a frontline customer experience: Be a resilient and committed brand ambassador, consistently delivering fast, friendly, and frequent service.
- Sell, recommend & drive sales growth: Confidently promote M&S Food products, including new launches, while ensuring solutions are tailor-made for customers.
- Thriving in fast-paced environments: Stay sharp, focused, and agile during peak store hours, maintaining momentum in a high-pressure setting.
- Digital confidence essential: Utilise retail tools (e.g. Sparks, in-store devices) to streamline operations, check stock, and enhance customer experience.
- Flexibility & adaptability: Willingly operate in various store areas and shift patterns, adjusting swiftly to meet evolving retail demands.
- Team player & culture driver: Foster a positive, energetic work environment by collaborating with colleagues to create a seamless customer journey.
