Customer Assistant (Food Section) – Full-Time Early & Shift Roles Marks & Spencer (M&S)


Work Pattern

This is a full-time role with early mornings and core hours, including shifts starting from 4am daily as well as weekends.

⚠️ Important: Exact shift patterns will be discussed during the interview.


Age Requirement

Due to legislative health and safety standards, candidates under 18 cannot be considered for this role due to early working hours.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll be the frontline of M&S and a selling machine, ensuring customers feel valued with:

  • Five-star service in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment during peak store hours (4am–midday+).
  • Exceeding sales growth through exceptional product recommendations and customer engagement.
  • Mastering our digital tools (Sparks system, in-store devices) to streamline operations and improve customer experience.
  • Operating across various store areas, adapting to demand with grace and enthusiasm.
  • Selling, stocking, helping customers, and maintaining a high-energy, supportive team culture.

Unsociable Hours Compensation

Hours worked between 10pm–6am earn £3.00 extra per hour as unsocial premium pay.
