Customer Assistant – Food Section (16 Hour, Weekend-Only Role)

Work Pattern

This is a 16-hour, weekend-only vacancy. A full work pattern will be discussed during the interview.


About the Role

Join Marks & Spencer (M&S) as a Customer Assistant in our Food section—where you’ll be at the heart of the UK’s fastest-growing retailer.

We’re not just looking for someone to stock shelves—we need down-to-earth, pressure-resistant colleagues who deliver five-star service, embrace our transformation, and go above and beyond every day.


Responsibilities

  • Act as a resilient brand ambassador, confidently recommending and selling new M&S Food products to drive growth.
  • Be the first point of contact for high-pressure retail environments, ensuring customers feel valued at every interaction.
  • Serve, sell, and support customers during peak periods—staying fast, sharp, and focused.
  • Utilise digital tools such as Sparks and in-store devices to enhance the customer experience efficiently.
  • Be a flexible team player, adapting to varied demands across different store sections.
  • Work collaboratively in a positive, high-energy workplace to deliver a seamless shopping experience.
