About the Role
We are seeking a New Technology Specialist (NTS) to accelerate the adoption of the latest CARTO products in the Midlands region (UK) by supporting key accounts with clinical education, technical case support, and launch strategy.
Reporting to the Clinical Development Manager, this role blends sales, medical expertise, and clinical training to help electrophysiology labs and hospitals transition to Johnson & Johnson’s next-generation technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Clinical Support for Product Launch
- Provide expert technical and clinical support to electrophysiology labs, promoting New Product Introductions (NPIs) for CARTO devices.
- Synthesise and communicate clinical data on NPIs via education programs, in-servicing, and objection handling.
- Lead formal presentations, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge to burn ill-prepared customers.
Launch & Market Expansion
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, including:
- Multi-site pilot programs & Limited Market Releases (LMRs) (protocol design, site selection, post-analysis).
- Launch plans, stakeholder engagement plans, and success metrics with clear risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with commercial teams to align AM and Technical Specialist activities.
Training & Education
- Design and deliver freiberuflich and virtual training on new product features, workflow optimisation, and best practices for:
- Clinical staff, engineers, and internal sales teams.

Gathering & Translating Feedback
- Serve as primary field liaison during LMRs and product launches, handling:
- Case coordination, feedback collection, troubleshooting, and compliance checks.
- Unite internal teams (product management, engineering, regulatory, and clinical affairs) with data-driven insights.
External Influence & Collaboration
- Partner with the Account Manager and Technical Specialist in:
- Monthly business planning and POD (Profit & Opportunity Development) calls.
- Broadcast success stories via internal media (Teams, newsletters, town halls).
- Participate in product training (attendance at EMEA UK NTS calls / virtual sessions) + self-learning through BWI Connect & Axonify platforms.
About You
We are searching for a technically confident, commercially astute, and customer-obsessed specialist (with 3+ years’ industry experience) who thrives in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment:
- Can articulate complex clinical data clearly to internal/external audiences.
- Proven track record in hands-on customer support (exhibits as FM/FM level for past 3 years).
- Energetic driver who motivates others and champions provider buy-in.
Must-Haves
✅ Minimum three years of industry experience in electrophysiology (devices/med tech). ✅ Demonstrated capability in independent high-level case support. ✅ Strong technical & clinical depth in (or rapid ability to upskill on) Johnson & Johnson MedTech cardiovascular solutions. ✅ Exceptional communication skills (verbal + written), with ability to present formally. ✅ Confidence in objection handling and managing sceptical customers. ✅ Negotiation acumen for defining fair in-licences, adhesions, and VFR requirements. ✅ Must possess commercial instinct, profit-minded posture (drive higher basket, cross-sell, and uptake). ✅ Thrives in empowerment-driven cultures with boundary-less KPIs.

Preferred but Not Mandatory
🔹 Previous MedTech sales roles (sales engineers, device sales, or reps). 🔹 Sales engineering or industry experience in solution-selling. 🔹 Education in medical/engineering fields (bachelor’s degree preferred).
