Newly Qualified Criminal Solicitor – Central London
Opportunity with a Leading London-Based Law Firm
We are recruiting a Newly Qualified Criminal Solicitor to join an expanding Criminal Defence team in Central London.
This is a perfect opportunity to kickstart your criminal law career in a supportive and dynamic environment, gaining invaluable experience and working on high-profile cases.
Key Responsibilities
You will be involved in:
- Managing a varied caseload of criminal defence matters, including serious and complex crime
- Attending police stations and representing clients during interviews (Police Station Accreditation preferred)
- Conducting advocacy in Magistrates’ Court (training and support provided)
- Preparing clear, accurate legal advice and documentation
- Liaising with clients, courts, and third parties to ensure efficient case progression
- Supporting senior lawyers and contributing to team goals
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards

Requirements & Qualifications
The ideal candidate should be:
- SRA qualified with a strong passion for Criminal Law
- Possess excellent communication and client care skills
- Demonstrates strong organisational skills and the ability to deal under pressure
- Confident in IT use and task management
- Has a proactive, team-focused approach
- Preferred: Police Station Accreditation (or willing to work towards it)
- Desired: Previous or willingness to achieve Duty Solicitor status
