Financial & Product Accountant – International Banking Group – London – up to £65,000 + discretionary bonus + benefits
We are partnering confidentially with an established international banking group to recruit a Financial & Product Accountant into its London Finance team. This is a broad and varied role offering exposure across financial reporting, management accounting, treasury reporting, budgeting, and financial control within a regulated banking environment.
Working closely with the Head of Finance and wider Finance team, you'll gain broad exposure across financial reporting, management accounting, treasury, regulatory reporting, and financial control. It's an ideal opportunity for a recently qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA accountant looking to develop a well-rounded banking finance career, particularly those moving from the audit of banking or brokerage clients, or professionals already working within a banking or financial services finance function.

- Location: London
- Working model: Hybrid – 4 days per week in the office, either Monday or Friday from home
- Reports to: Head of Finance

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Control
- Prepare accurate month-end management accounts, financial reporting, and performance analysis.
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring appropriate accounting treatment across a range of financial transactions.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and supporting schedules.
- Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and external audit requirements.
Management Reporting & Budgeting
- Produce management information and reporting packs for senior leadership and governance committees.
- Analyse financial performance against budget, investigating key variances and providing meaningful commentary.
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process across the Finance function.
Treasury & Regulatory Reporting
- Assist with daily treasury and prudential reporting, including liquidity, capital, and funding metrics.
- Support regulatory reporting activities and contribute to key regulatory submissions.
- Assist with ICAAP, ILAAP, and other regulatory reporting requirements where required.

Tax, Process Improvement & Business Support
- Assist with VAT and corporation tax reporting.
- Support the implementation of finance systems and process improvements, helping to strengthen the control environment.
- Maintain finance procedures and provide ad hoc analysis to support senior stakeholders across the business.
Your Profile
- Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
- Experience within banking or financial services, or external audit of banking or brokerage clients.
- Good understanding of financial controls and accounting principles.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyse and present financial information effectively.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, and a desire to learn and upskill
