Whether you are a Newly Qualified or more experienced Optometrist, we will support and encourage you to get accredited and involved in services for minor eye conditions, pre and post-cataract, glaucoma referral refinement and monitoring and more. We change thousands of lives through better sight and hearing every year.
With the upcoming changes to eyecare in the country, there is no better time to practise in Wales; if you're not already WECS accredited we'll support you with your studies - it's easier than you think.

What we’re looking for
Alongside being a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist, the right person for this position will be confident, possess a strong work ethic and a willingness to succeed. You’ll be passionate about your job and enjoy a fast-paced environment. We are looking for an Optometrist who will go the extra mile for our customers and someone who encourages their colleagues to do the same. In summary, we’re looking for a high calibre resident Optometrist to join us and assist in driving this excellent practice forward.

Location
Welshpool is a perfect town for exploring the beautiful sights of Mid Wales. Discover countryside canal walks, modern art, historic castles and heritage railways on your days off. Property is certainly reasonable; the average price in 2022 was a little over £199k.
Welshpool is in the county of Powys, Wales, 4 miles from the England-Wales border. Shrewsbury lies 17 miles away; north-west of London is 150 miles distant; it is 80 miles to Manchester.
You can easily get to and from Welshpool by public transport. The scenic Cambrian Line has regular trains to Welshpool from Birmingham, Shrewsbury and Aberystwyth. The train station and the bus terminus are a two minute walk from the store.
