Social Worker (Newly Qualified) – Adult Community Team
Salary: £37,280 - £39,152 per annum Hours: 37 per week Location: Chippenham & wider Wiltshire Contract Type: Standard Interview: To be confirmed after shortlisting
About the Role
We are seeking a Newly Qualified Social Worker to join our Adult Community Team in Chippenham and launch an impactful career dedicated to supporting adults across Wiltshire. This role is about more than assessments—it’s about building relationships, understanding people’s personal priorities, and collaborating to achieve their goals while enabling safe, independent, and meaningful lives.
As part of the team, you’ll help individuals:
- Maximise independence
- Build resilience and self-confidence
- Maintain important relationships
- Access necessary support to thrive within their communities

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting vulnerable adults to live as independently as possible, including:
- Assessing individual needs
- Coordinating care plans and services
- Advocating on behalf of clients
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to promote social inclusion
- Providing emergency and short/medium-term interventions as required
- Building trusting, professional relationships with service users and families
- Implementing interventions based on best practice, safeguarding principles
- Collaborating with carers, housing and health professionals to improve outcomes

About the Support You’ll Receive
As a Newly Qualified Social Worker, you will be enrolled in our structured Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) Programme. This includes: ✔ Mentorship and supervision from experienced colleagues ✔ Professional development tailored to your early career stage ✔ Safeguarding training and mentorship spots ✔ Supportive learning environment to build confidence and competence
