Summary

Apple News is the most innovative news aggregation app, providing millions of users with a part-curated, part-personalised news feed from the world’s best publishers.

Apple News+ offers hundreds of magazines and leading newspapers in one subscription.

We are looking for an experienced news editor to help take our coverage of breaking news, sport and features to the next level.

Applicants should have a strong sense of the news landscape in the UK, a keen interest in journalism, awareness of the big running stories – and an eye for a snappy headline.

You should also have a keen appreciation of what makes good features journalism: what readers want in a story, and what they would be prepared to pay for.

Candidates should be prepared to work flexibly across early mornings, evenings and occasional weekends.

Description

  • Curate news, features and sport coverage from Apple News publishers daily, with a focus on quality writing, in-depth reporting and accuracy.
  • Write sharp, clean and engaging copy in the Apple News voice. This includes formulating headlines in ways that highlight the most engaging angle of a story, and crafting notifications that feel relevant, responsible – and unmissable.
  • Explain and provide context around complex news stories, often on tight deadlines.
  • Create high-profile packages around key news moments and major issues.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
