About The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to register your interest in future NextJS Developer roles within our expanding technology function. Typical Role Overview
- Location: Manchester, Leeds, Bristol or UK-wide (nationwide opportunities available)
- Type: Contract
- Full-time
- Work Model: Hybrid
- Day Rate: £600–800 per day (dependent on experience and location)
- Skills: NextJS, React, JavaScript, APIs, Microservices, CI/CD, Azure, .NET, Docker, Kubernetes
- Experience: 5–10 years in software development
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
What You Would Do
- Developing and maintaining responsive, user-centric web applications using NextJS and React
- Writing clean, maintainable JavaScript code and collaborating with backend teams on API integration
- Contributing to microservices architecture and working with containerisation tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Participating in CI/CD pipeline improvements and deployment automation
- Troubleshooting performance issues and optimising frontend application efficiency
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to deliver features and improvements
- Supporting code reviews and sharing knowledge with team members

What You Could Bring
Must-have
- 5–10 years of professional software development experience
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and hands-on experience with React and NextJS
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and working with microservices
- Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Comfortable working in an agile, fast-paced environment
Nice-to-have
- Experience with .NET or ASP.NET backends
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and sprint-based delivery
- Exposure to distributed systems design
- Proficiency with Excel or data visualisation tools
- Meta Front-End Developer Certificate, JavaScript Certification (JSE), freeCodeCamp Front End Libraries (React) or similar certifications
- Experience with Terraform, GCP or other infrastructure-as-code tools
