NHS 111 Health Advisor | Located on site - Ipswich, Suffolk
Ready to take the next step in your career and make a real impact every day? This is your chance to train to be a Health Advisor and work in our vibrant 111-contact centre. If you're calm under pressure, empathetic, and passionate about providing vital care and support, we want to hear from you.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of helping people in need, guiding them through critical decisions with care and professionalism. You will triage a variety of calls, provide accurate assessments, and offer non-clinical advice using the NHS Pathways System.

Pay Rates
- £12.65 per hour (7am-11pm)
- £15.72 per hour (11pm-7am)
- Enhanced rate of £16.27 per hour when working between Friday 18:00 to Monday 7:00am.
Please note that the weekend rate is a non-contractual incentive for working unsociable hours and you will be paid £12.65 during your training.
Working Hours
We understand the importance of flexibility – we are currently offering part-time and full-time shifts of 24, 30 or 37.5 hours per week - (there may be limited full-time availability - 37.5 hours), which will be discussed upon application - please feel free to reach out via email beforehand if you need to. Please note, this is not a regular 9 - 5 job, and some weekends and late night/overnight shifts are included.

Important: this role cannot be worked remotely, and you must be able to attend shifts in our 111- contact centre:
Unit 7, Delta Terrace, West Road, Ransomes Euro Park, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP3 9FH
Training and Development
We offer extensive, fully paid training to equip you with the skills to become a qualified Health Advisor and learn the advanced NHS 111 triage tool.
Schedule: (add specific training dates below, depending on site)
- Full-Time: Monday-Friday (9:30am-5pm) for 4 weeks
- Part-Time: Tues, Weds, Thurs (6pm-9:30pm) and Sat-Sun (9:30am-5pm) for 6 weeks
Our Current Training Date Availability Is
- Full-Time Course starting on 30th of March
It is essential that you attend training every day. You will undergo assessments and call audits throughout training. Passing these is essential to continue with the role. Failure to pass on your second attempt will result in no longer being able to continue with the role. After training, you will receive an additional 8 weeks of support to ensure you’re ready to be signed off as a fully accredited Pathways Health Advisor.
