About the Role
We are seeking an NHS Capital Specialist to join our team on a fixed term basis, working alongside an NHS Trust. You will play a key role in managing and supporting the trust's capital programme, drawing on your practical experience of NHS capital processes to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery and management of the trust's capital programme
- Prepare and review capital reporting in line with NHS requirements
- Provide expert advice on NHS capital processes, governance, and compliance
- Work closely with trust finance colleagues and wider stakeholders across capital programmes
- Maintain accurate capital records within NHS financial systems

What We're Looking For
- ACCA or CIPFA qualified accountant (or similar) preferred; part-qualified candidates with appropriate experience will also be considered
- A minimum of 2 years of NHS capital experience gained within an NHS trust
- Strong working knowledge of NHS capital processes and reporting
- Experience using NHS financial systems and ledgers
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly advanced Excel for financial analysis and reporting
- A collaborative approach, comfortable working as part of a team as well as independently
- Ability to work on site in Hertfordshire 2 to 3 days per week

Salary Range
£55,000 - £60,000 dependent on experience
