About the Role

We are seeking an NHS Capital Specialist to join our team on a fixed term basis, working alongside an NHS Trust. You will play a key role in managing and supporting the trust's capital programme, drawing on your practical experience of NHS capital processes to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery and management of the trust's capital programme
  • Prepare and review capital reporting in line with NHS requirements
  • Provide expert advice on NHS capital processes, governance, and compliance
  • Work closely with trust finance colleagues and wider stakeholders across capital programmes
  • Maintain accurate capital records within NHS financial systems

What We're Looking For

  • ACCA or CIPFA qualified accountant (or similar) preferred; part-qualified candidates with appropriate experience will also be considered
  • A minimum of 2 years of NHS capital experience gained within an NHS trust
  • Strong working knowledge of NHS capital processes and reporting
  • Experience using NHS financial systems and ledgers
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly advanced Excel for financial analysis and reporting
  • A collaborative approach, comfortable working as part of a team as well as independently
  • Ability to work on site in Hertfordshire 2 to 3 days per week

Salary Range

£55,000 - £60,000 dependent on experience
