About the Role
The Night Auditor plays a critical dual role, combining overnight front desk guest service with nightly financial reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete nightly financial audits, balancing accounts to ensure guest accuracy and revenue integrity.
- Prepare and present daily reports to Finance & Front Office management.
- Process late check-ins, early departures, and guest requests efficiently.
- Maintain precise billing, postings, and cash-handling integrity.
- Act as the clear, professional overnight contact for guests.
- Manage overnight inquiries, bookings, and communication.
- Support Night Manager in upholding operational standards.
- Handle guest complaints and issues with timely resolution to ensure satisfaction.
- Professional handling of incoming calls, emails, and reservations, including:
- Accurate payment processing.
- Secure handling of guest information.
- Monitors property safety & security.
- Perform administrative tasks and system checks for seamless next-day service.
- Document and communicate guest feedback and incidents in daily logs.
- Resolve emergency situations calmly, prioritising safety.
- Maintain reception and lobby areas to high professional standards.
- Collaborate with Housekeeping, Concierge, and in-house teams to meet guest needs.
- Assists Night Manager on operational tasks as required.

Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Hospitality, Accounting, or comparable experience.
- Previous Introduction to Night Auditor roles or Front Office experience preferred.
- Strong numeracy & financial reconciliation skills to ensure precision.
- Proficient in Opera PMS or other hotel management systems.
- Fluent English; additional languages are advantageous.
Typical Working Conditions
- Shifts between overnight hours, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Requires prolonged standing at reception.
- Balances guest engagement with administrative duties.
- Focus is critical during late-night early-morning shifts.
Eligibility
