Night Auditor
Night Auditor – Part-Time
About the Role
As a Night Auditor, you’ll be pivotal to the guest experience. This role requires you to manage late-night check-ins, provide overnight support to guests, complete accurate end-of-day financial duties, and assist with breakfast preparation—ensuring welcome hospitality starts with each morning.
Location & Hours
- Aberdeen city centre (Residence Inn Aberdeen – dog-friendly & apartment-style hotel)
- Part-time: 16 hours per week (spanning 2 days)
- Hourly rate: £13.09 per hour
This dynamic overnight position covers a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including:
- Night-time guest service
- Financial and audit tasks
- Safety and security checks
- Communication and administrative support
- Early-morning breakfast setup and light cooking
- Cross-departmental duty coverage
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Communication
- Answer front-desk calls and messages efficiently.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues.
- Oversee overnight check-ins/check-outs and handle guest enquiries.
- Relay critical information to the morning team for seamless service.
Finance & Night Audit
- Verify figures, guest postings, and documentation for accuracy.
- Secure and process cash/financial transactions according to policy.
- Conduct daily night audit procedures via property software.
- Organise, store, and securely maintain records.
- Ensure all end-of-day systems balance correctly; prepare reports.

Breakfast Operations
- Assist with early breakfast preparations.
- Contribute to food presentation, organisation, and basic cooking.
- Maintain the breakfast area: cleanliness, stock and guest-friendly ambiance.
Safety & Security
- Monitor hotel activity during night hours.
- Follow emergency procedures when required.
- Maintain safety standards for cleaning, security, and guest access.
Teamwork & Compliance
- Collaborate with colleagues and uphold cross-departmental cohesion.
- Adhere to Residence Inn standards for quality, appearance, and behaviour.
- Execute additional duties as requested by management.
Physical Demands
- Lift/carry items up to 10 lbs independently.
- Remain active for the duration of shifts.
