Night Auditor - Medlock
Night Auditor – The Medlock at Etihad Campus, Manchester
£30,056.00 per annum, 40 Hours per week
About the Role
At The Medlock, first impressions matter—but it’s the work done overnight that makes them possible. As a Night Auditor, you’ll quietly take care of the hotel while the world sleeps, ensuring everything is balanced, organised, and prepared for a new day.
This role is about more than numbers—it’s about trust, consistency, and calm attention to detail. Working independently through the night, you’ll oversee end-of-day procedures, complete accurate reports and audits while also acting as the first point of contact for guests. From managing late arrivals and early departures to addressing any guest needs, your presence supports a safe, seamless, and welcoming environment—even when everyone else has gone home.
This brand-new 401-key hotel is set to transform hospitality at one of the most prestigious entertainment and sporting destinations globally, seamlessly integrated with Etihad Campus. The evolving campus includes world-class facilities, such as the 60,000-seater stadium, Co-op Live arena, and state-of-the-art training venues—positioning The Medlock at the heart of a thriving sports, entertainment, and leisure hub.
By joining our team, you’ll be shaping the future of hospitality in Manchester, delivering extraordinary experiences with passion and to exceptional standards.
Responsibilities

- Act as the only frontline presence overnight, supporting late arrivals, early departures, guests, and enquiries with professionalism and attentiveness.
- Follow all safety, security, and operational protocols while maintaining a watchful presence 24/7 to respond appropriately to issues.
- Ensure brand standards and integrity are upheld, often behind the scenes, with detail-oriented reliability and discretion.
- Work within flexible night shift patterns (scheduled to reflect business demand), ensuring seamless coverage 365 days a year.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
