Night Care Assistant
**Care Assistant – Care Concern Group
Location: Manor Grange Care Home, Pinkhill, Edinburgh
Contract: £13.60 per hour Full-time and part-time contracts available Nightshift opportunities Paid PVG Scheme Check, pension and SSSC registration covered Uniform provided Onsite parking 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)
Role Overview
As a Care Assistant at Manor Grange Care Home, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful, daily difference in our residents' lives. This rewarding role is central to delivering high-quality, person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence and wellbeing.
Your responsibilities will include supporting individuals with daily living activities such as:
- Personal care and mobility assistance
- Nutrition and meal preparation
- Emotional and social engagement

By following care plans and observing changes in condition, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring safe, responsive and consistent care. Working as part of a supportive team, you’ll contribute to fostering a warm and positive environment where residents feel respected, valued and truly cared for.
This role welcomes both experienced carers and those new to the profession, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
What We Are Looking For
- A caring, compassionate and respectful approach to individual needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A reliable and positive attitude
- A willingness to learn and develop
- Previous experience is beneficial but not essential
- SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is desirable, or willingness to work towards it
