This post attracts a welcome payment of 5% of the starting salary for the grade to enable individuals to join our permanent workforce. This is payable upon successful completion of your probationary period and is subject to eligibility criteria.

We are looking for a Night Care Assistant to be based in one of our Community Resource Centre (CRC) at Combe Lea, Midsomer Norton on a part-time basis on permanent contract.
About The Team
Bath and North East Somerset have two care homes which are Community Resource Centres (CRC) located in Bath and Midsomer Norton. Each Community Resource Centre includes a residential care home for between 30 and 45 people, and these homes provide important services to older people in our community. We provide care and health services in a comfortable, safe environment for older vulnerable adults with a variety of disabilities, including dementia. Our Night Care Assistants at these centres work hard to offer residents the opportunity to retain as much independence as possible and to enjoy their lives.
Combe Lea is a residential care home that provides care and health services in a safe environment for older vulnerable adults with a variety of disabilities. It offers a broad range of activities which aim to promote independence by developing or maintaining and enhancing people’s skills, interests, and abilities.
About The Role
As a Night Care Assistant:
- You will be a good team player and have great communication skills
- You will be able to develop appropriate and professional relationships with our residents and carers, which value them as individuals, including establishing and maintaining effective communication.
- You will be able to promote and maintain person-centred service and operate safely appropriate equipment with training.

Within the Night Care Assistant role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a fantastic team of carers and support teams.
This is part time position working 22 hours per week on 4- week rolling rota. Shifts will include working some weekends and Bank holidays. Shifts are 12 hours with 1 hour break.

About You
Previous comprehensive experience of working in care would be desirable, but a commitment to deliver quality care is essential. We like to ensure that we encourage people to be empowered in a supportive environment.
