Location Pendle Brook Care Home, 2 Haworth Street, Oswaldtwistle

About the Role: Night Care Assistant
Rochcare provides quality residential care homes and support services to older people, including those living with dementia. As a trusted care provider, we rely on the professionalism, commitment, and caring nature of each team member to ensure the best possible experience for those we support.
In this role, you will deliver exceptional care, working closely with our residents—securing their physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. The ability to multi-task, prioritise workloads, and remain calm under pressure is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal care & support: Work in compliance with individual care plans, providing routine and emergency personal care, including dressing, bathing, toileting, and continence management.
- Regarding human connection: Interact positively with friends and family, stakeholders, and other visitors, representing Rochcare professionally at all times.
- Empathy & professionalism: Maintain a comforting, supportive presence, showing true respect for the rights of residents—especially regarding privacy.
- Professional Standards: Hold yourself to the highest standards of propriety, confidentiality, and hygiene in every interaction.
- Documentation & planning: Keep Comprehensive records, monitor resident needs, and ensure all procedures and routines are accurately recorded.
- Enquiry & responsiveness: Demonstrate dedication to empowering individuals, treating each person uniquely and with dignity.

This role responds directly to the Senior Care, Team Leader, Manager, and Deputy Manager.
Essential Duties
✔ Ability to build and maintain relationships with residents, families, and carers ✔ Diminishing communications(language) to meet individual needs, particularly for those impacted by diminished abilities ✔ Commitment to continuous learning and career growth, through training opportunities ✔ Adult safeguarding awareness ✔ Attention to detail when recording and updating reports

Essential Requirements for Application
Have the capability to: ✔ Live and work in the UK ✔ Demonstrate compassion and practical kindness ✔ Understand and maintain professional standards ✔ Aware of heath and safety regulations and follow safeguarding principles ✔ Effective disclosure for background checks
📚 Recommended though not essential for starting:
- Formal education: GCSE level (or equivalent) grades C or above (4-9 in new scale in English and Mathematics
- Having undertaken training in Health and Social Care (starting with a Level 2 Diploma preferred)
Desired Skills
- Background: Social support, healthcare, assistant nursing certificate
- Aptitude: Working with people with limited mobility, aversion to change
- Willingness: To advocate autonomy and independence for aspiring elders
