Care Assistant Contract at Trinity House Care Home
Location: Edinburgh
Salary: £13.60 per hour Hours: 33–44 per week (contracted) Benefits:
- Uniform provided
- Paid Pocket PVG scheme
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (full-time equivalent)
Role Overview
As a Care Assistant, your daily impact will transform residents’ lives.
- Deliver person-centred care that upholds dignity, independence, and well-being.
- Assist with daily living, including:
- Personal care (bathing, washing, toileting)
- Mobility (support with movement and exercise)
- Nutrition (feeding and meal assistance)
- Emotional wellbeing (trusted companionship)
- Implement care plans, observe changes in residents’ conditions, and escalate concerns for safe, responsive care.
- Contribute to a supportive team that fosters warmth and personalised relationships.

What We Are Looking For
- A caring, compassionate mindset, prioritising dignity and respect.
- Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in communication and collaboration.
- Reliability and positivity, adaptable to sometimes challenging working environments.
- Willingness to upskill: SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (desirable; on-the-job training available if you’re eager).
- No prior experience? No problem. We’ll support you from day one.
