Care Assistant – Care Home Role
As a Care Assistant at a Barchester care home, you'll help residents enjoy each day by ensuring they receive the quality care and support they deserve. Your role will involve:
- Providing support with daily living activities (e.g., personal care, hygiene, and mobility assistance)
- Offering companionship and emotional support while sharing meaningful moments and memories
- Delivering personalised care tailored to each resident’s needs, following their individual care plans
- Ensuring one-to-one engagement and fostering strong connections with residents

About You
To excel as a Care Assistant at Barchester, you should have:
✔ Experience caring for older people (or willingness to learn under supervision) ✔ A "can-do" attitude and commitment to make a difference in people’s lives ✔ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and interpersonal ✔ Empathy and compassion—you’ll need these to create a warm, trusting relationship with residents ✔ Patience and reliability to deliver high standards of care consistently
