About Quantum Care
Quantum Care is a no-for-profit organisation supporting over 2,000 older people across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Essex. Our mission is simple: to help our residents live well, with dignity, comfort and joy. To do that, we need people who care as much as we do and Make Every Day Matter.
About the Role
We are seeking a Night Care Assistant to join our modern, purpose-built Care Home Dukeminster Court in Dunstable. Dukeminster Court is a modern and friendly 75 bed residential home based in the heart of Dunstable, where dedicated teams provide exceptional person-centred care in a warm, supportive and rewarding environment.
As a Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate person-cantered care and support residents with respect and dignity to maintain independence.
What You’ll Bring
- You’ll be naturally compassionate and patient.
- It is not necessary to have previous experience of working in a similar care environment because as long as you have a positive attitude and good communication skills, our first-class training will do the rest.
- You’ll be willing to undertake all aspects of care to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents.
- Training will be provided.
- A willingness to be trained and to achieve Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
- The ability to work shifts (including weekends and evenings).
- You must be aged 18 years or over to apply for this job.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
