Night Hygiene Operative

Job Opportunity: Night Hygiene Operative – Eurilait

Join the Eurilait team and help keep our operations clean, safe, and running to the highest food hygiene standards every night.

Eurilait is one of the UK’s leading speciality cheese suppliers, working with retailers, foodservice businesses, wholesalers, and food manufacturers. As part of a European dairy group, we combine international expertise with a strong focus on quality, innovation, and category growth.

We are looking for a Night Hygiene Operative to join our Operations team at our Evercreech site. This is a hands-on role that plays a vital part in maintaining hygiene, food safety, and audit standards across our production environment.

The Role

As a Night Hygiene Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out cleaning and disinfection tasks across factory areas and equipment to ensure the site remains clean, safe, and compliant with food safety and hygiene standards. You will work closely with the Hygiene, Production, and Technical teams to support daily operations and audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete daily and scheduled cleaning tasks across production and support areas
  • Clean machinery, tools, and workspaces in line with SOPs and hygiene plans
  • Carry out deep cleans and equipment strip-downs where required
  • Follow safe procedures for handling cleaning chemicals (COSHH)
  • Use cleaning equipment and PPE correctly and safely
  • Maintain hygiene standards in production areas, offices, corridors, canteen areas, and meeting rooms
  • Manage waste disposal and support laundry preparation/collection
  • Complete cleaning records, hygiene checks, and documentation accurately
  • Report hygiene risks, equipment issues, or maintenance concerns to the Night Hygiene Supervisor
  • Support preparation for audits and inspections
  • Maintain a safe, organised, and compliant working environment at all times

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a hygiene, cleaning, or manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, COSHH, and PPE use
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to follow procedures and complete records accurately
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good communication and time management skills
