The Role

Sofina Foods is seeking a dedicated Night Factory Hygiene Operative to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

As a Night Factory Hygiene Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring that our facility meets the highest cleanliness standards. This role is crucial in supporting our production process and ensuring the safety and quality of our products.

£12.71 per hour + shift pay

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Night Factory Hygiene Operative, you will:

  • Carry out scheduled daily cleaning tasks across various areas of the factory.
  • Strip down and clean machinery, machine heads, and other equipment parts.
  • Clean processing equipment, including trays, tools, and production lines.
  • Maintain high hygiene standards in preparation areas and deep clean production spaces as required.
  • Perform post-cleaning checks to ensure all areas meet hygiene requirements.
  • Comply with company Health & Safety and Hygiene procedures at all times.
  • Ensure personal protective equipment (PPE) is used and functioning correctly.
  • Work effectively under time pressure to meet daily cleaning deadlines.
  • Report any incidents, issues, or environmental concerns to your line manager.

This Role Is Ideal For Someone Who

  • Has a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
  • Is physically fit, able to lift equipment and operate high-pressure hoses.
  • Has excellent communication skills for understanding technical cleaning requirements and reporting issues.
  • May have prior experience as a hygiene operative or in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Can adapt to working in different environments and use the appropriate PPE.
  • Can work under pressure while maintaining high hygiene standards.
