At Novotel London Paddington, we're looking for an experienced Night Manager to lead our overnight operation. As the senior manager on duty throughout the night, you'll be responsible for delivering outstanding guest service, overseeing the Night Audit process, supporting your team and ensuring the safety and security of our guests, colleagues and hotel.

This is a full time position, 39 hours per week.

Job Description

As our Night Manager, you will:

  • Lead the overnight operation as the Manager on Duty, ensuring the hotel runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences by handling enquiries, resolving concerns and leading by example.
  • Complete the Night Audit, ensuring all financial transactions, revenue postings and reports are accurate.
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly operational and financial reports.
  • Ensure all billing and banking procedures are completed accurately and in line with company standards.
  • Supervise, motivate and develop the Front Office Night Team while supporting other departments as required.
  • Conduct regular security patrols throughout the hotel, including public areas, guest floors, gym, garage and back-of-house areas.
  • Ensure all health, safety, fire and security procedures are followed and respond appropriately to emergencies.
  • Support room service operations during the night, ensuring orders are prepared, delivered and presented to brand standards.
  • Manage overnight staffing levels and maintain effective communication between departments.
  • Coach, train and develop team members in line with Accor brand standards.
  • Monitor guest feedback and continuously look for ways to improve service and operational performance.

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience in a Night Manager, Night Supervisor or Front Office leadership role within a hotel.
  • Strong knowledge of Night Audit procedures and hotel operations.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Outstanding guest service and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confidence managing financial reconciliations and reporting.
  • The ability to make sound decisions and remain calm under pressure.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • A good understanding of health & safety, fire safety and hotel security procedures.
  • Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Experience using hotel property management systems (Opera or similar) is highly desirable.
