Description
Front of House plays a vital role in the day-to-day life of The Carnegie Club at Skibo Castle, acting as a central point of contact for members, guests and residents. The department works closely with teams across the estate to ensure smooth communication, exceptional service and a consistently high standard of care.
During night-time hours, Front of House continues to provide reassurance, support and oversight, helping to maintain the same levels of professionalism, discretion and service that members experience during the day.
About The Role
As a Night Operations Assistant, you will be part of the Front of House team, supporting the smooth, safe and professional running of the estate overnight. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in responsibility, and thrives in a calm, structured and service-led environment.
You will help ensure that members, guests and residents receive the same exceptional standards of service overnight, while also supporting estate safety, security and a seamless transition into daytime operations.
Your responsibilities will include: Acting as a first point of contact for members, guests, residents and staff overnight Managing front office and switchboard duties with professionalism and discretion Responding to enquiries, requests and issues in a calm, service-focused manner Maintaining a visible and approachable presence in public areas Monitoring arrivals, departures and overnight movements across the estate Carrying out regular patrols to ensure safety, security and presentation standards Supporting security procedures and responding appropriately to incidents or emergencies Identifying, logging and escalating maintenance or safety concerns Providing operational support to overnight teams including Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Front of House, Transport and Maintenance Assisting with overnight set-up, reset and preparation tasks Completing night logs, checklists and reports accurately Ensuring clear and thorough handover to daytime teams

About You
Skills & Experience: Previous experience in hospitality, front of house, operations or a service-led environment (desirable but not essential) Confidence using telephones, switchboards and basic systems Ability to work independently and manage responsibility during night-time hours Awareness of health & safety, security or operational procedures (or willingness to learn) Full, clean driving licence (desirable) First Aid training or an interest in developing operational skills (desirable) Personal Attributes: Professional, reliable and discreet with a strong sense of responsibility Guest-focused, with clear and confident communication skills Calm, attentive and level-headed, particularly when handling unexpected situations Trustworthy and detail-oriented, with pride in maintaining high standards Flexible and willing to work night shifts, weekends and public holidays You don't need to meet every point listed above to be a great fit for the role.
