Night Operations Supervisor

Location: London, Wembley Contract Type: Permanent Salary: £38,781 + bonus + benefits

As a Night Operations Supervisor, you’ll take charge during night shifts to ensure our student accommodation property remains safe, secure, and well-managed.

You will:

  • Oversee operational delivery overnight
  • Lead the night team with clear direction
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for incidents and resident needs

This role demands hands-on leadership—decision-making, coordination, and ensuring a consistent, high-quality experience for all residents.

Collaborating with the property team, you’ll:

  • Facilitate seamless shift handovers
  • Maintain a safe, supportive environment where residents feel at ease

Your Impact

Here’s what you’ll be responsible for in this pivotal role:

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead night operations, ensuring property safety, security, and maintenance throughout shifts.
  • Supervise and support the night team while upholding high service standards.
  • Act as the main incident escalation point, making critical decisions and driving operational or safety resolutions.
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents, coordinating timely responses while documenting all actions.
  • Conduct safety checks and compliance audits, verifying health and safety procedures are followed.
  • Monitor property standards in communal spaces, ensuring they remain clean, safe, and welcoming.
  • Manage team rotas and attendance, optimising coverage and resource efficiency.
  • Oversee contractor access and activities to guarantee safe, compliant work on-site.
  • Facilitate clear communication with the day team for smooth handovers and operational continuity.
  • Assist residents with queries or concerns, ensuring their safety and comfort.

Your Background

We value real-world experience above a traditional path. To thrive in this role, you’ll demonstrate:

  • Experience in customer service, hospitality, property, or operations.
  • Proven ability to support or supervise teams.
  • Competence in managing incidents and operational challenges, staying composed under pressure.
  • A strong understanding of health and safety protocols.
  • Organisation, proactivity, and decision-making skills while working remotely in operational contexts.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.

Ideal candidates will have prior experience in:

  • Property/residential/commercial environments (This is not a requirement but a bonus However, we actively seek transferable skills!)
