Role Responsibilities

  • You’ll be the first impression providing guests and visitors with a warm welcome and great service whilst ensuring the hotel is kept safe and secure overnight.
  • You will have a forward-thinking approach and be a team player, going the extra mile to ensure the hotel is perfectly presented ready for our guests in the morning.
  • To establish a friendly and helpful attitude to all guests and staff and deal with any reasonable requests from guests in a professional, timely manner.
  • Ensure all revenue is correctly charged and monies & keys are all securely kept at all times.
  • Carry out timely and efficient morning call service as required.
  • Order newspapers and deliver where necessary.
  • Support with the cleaning of all public areas, bars and function rooms as requested, removal of room service trays from bedroom corridors as necessary.
  • Service of drinks and light refreshments during the night according to guest requests.
  • To ensure all documentation, i.e. checks/bills are completed as necessary and carried out as per the hotel and company standards.
  • To be able to check in/check out guests using the PMS system.
  • To strive and anticipate customer needs whenever possible and react to these to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Preparation of conference/board rooms as per function sheets and company brand standards.
  • Ensure all corridors are clear; fire extinguishers are present and accessible and fire doors are secure, reporting any concerns immediately to the Duty Manager or Senior Manager on site.
  • Conduct a minimum of 3 floor safety checks during the night ensuring all incidents, accidents or injuries which occur on the premises are logged and reported to the Duty Manager immediately.
  • To be aware of and comply with the Alcohol Licensing Laws in England and Scotland (where applicable).
  • Must attend all H&S, Fire and Food Safety Training as directed by your Line Manager.
