Location Malmaison Manchester, Deansgate
About the Role
The Night Porter plays a critical role in maintaining the seamless operation of the hotel from sundown to sunrise. This is a hands-on position focused on managing guest expectations and upholding the high standards of Malmaison’s brand.
Guests will sleep soundly while the Night Team ensures everything runs efficiently. Your responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the Food & Beverage Department during night shifts
- Greeting guests with a friendly and helpful approach
- Keeping public areas immaculately clean
- Preparing event and meeting spaces for the next day
Additionally, you’ll be responsible for:
- Assisting guests with luggage and queries
- Conducting nightly Health and Safety audits
- Ensuring clear organisation and communication
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Food & Beverage Department efficiently during night shifts
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in public areas
- Prepare event spaces for the following day
- Handle guest baggage and address enquiries promptly
- Carry out Health and Safety checks nightly

Experience & Skills
- Experience in a similar role would be beneficial
- Essential to have prior night shift experience
- Strong organisation and communication skills required
- Expertise in hands-on frontline service
Work Schedule & Flexibility
Our hotel operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year, so we welcome availability across various shifts and days. While the hotel is busier during evenings and weekends, shift patterns and contracted hours are fully negotiable at interview.
