Night Porter

Night Porter

£13.21 per hour, 16 hours per week

Are you a night owl? We are looking for a Night Porter to join our team.


About the Role

Primarily, the Night Porter will:

  • Help guests with luggage and travel arrangements
  • Support night operations including:
    • Meeting guest requests for additional room amenities
    • Serving food and beverages
  • Ensure the hotel remains secure and calm under pressure

The role requires flexibility to adapt to shifts and use initiative to prepare the hotel for the day ahead. Availability is needed 7 days a week, 365 days a year, with shift patterns discussed at interview.


Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as the first point of contact for guests arriving late
  • Assisting with check-in and check-out procedures outside usual hours
  • Monitoring security systems and ensuring the property remains safe
  • Stocking necessary amenities and maintaining hotel readiness for the day
  • Troubleshooting minor operational and guest service issues

  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
  • Willingness to adapt to fluctuating workloads, including weekends and evenings
  • Basic computer skills for register duties
