Role Description

The Night Reception Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Loughton. The Night Reception Manager oversees reception operations during night shifts, ensuring a welcoming, safe, and well-organized environment for visitors and guests. Daily responsibilities include:

The role involves:

  • Supervising reception standards
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Coordinating with other departments as needed
  • Ensuring that policies and procedures are followed throughout the night

The Night Reception Manager is expected to:

  • Act as the main point of contact after hours
  • Provide clear communication
  • Uphold a professional front-of-house experience

Qualifications

  • Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and a focus on Customer Satisfaction.
  • Excellent Communication abilities, both verbal and written, to interact confidently with guests and team members.
  • Previous experience with Receptionist Duties, such as managing calls, greeting visitors, and handling check-in/check-out processes.
  • Solid Organization Skills to manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate records, and oversee night operations efficiently.
  • Prior experience in reception, front desk, hospitality, or facilities management, ideally in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Ability to work night shifts reliably, maintain professionalism under pressure, and respond calmly to unexpected situations.
  • Proficiency with basic IT systems and booking or CRM software; willingness to learn new tools as required.
  • Relevant vocational training or a qualification in hospitality, business administration, or customer service is beneficial.
