Night Replenishment, Supermarket Assistant

Supermarket Assistant (West Byfleet)

About the Role

As a Supermarket Assistant, you’ll help shape the Waitrose experience by delivering Partner-led service and passionate, food-focused care that competitors simply can’t match. Your commitment to going the extra mile will create the perfect impression, building lasting trust and loyalty for customers on every visit.

Beyond your £13.00/hour pay (rising to £13.25/hour after 90 days), eligible shifts between 22:00 and 06:00 earn a Night Premium of £3.75/hour. This also applies to existing Partners under the Enhanced Hours Premium scheme.

Responsibilities

(Note: Applicants must be 18+ due to working time regulations.)

Your role combines customer service excellence with operational tasks to ensure smooth operations. This includes:

  • Stock replenishment: Maintaining fully stocked shelves in the right places, prioritising availability and presentation for customers.
  • Grocery delivery fulfilment: Packing online orders ready for drivers to deliver straight to customers’ front doors.
  • Waste reduction: Following product guidelines to markdown shelves efficiently and adhere to sell-by date policies.
  • Cross-team support: Assisting checkout teams, managing Click & Collect orders, fulfilling on-demand customer orders, and supporting other store functions as needed.
  • Shopkeeping: Keeping the workspace safe, clean, and organised to comply with retail standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Important Considerations

  1. Pre-employment vetting: More specialised roles may require:

    • DBS checks (conducted by third-party verified organisations).

    • Flexible work models (compressed hours, job sharing, adjusted schedules where feasible).
    • Please discuss this opportunity with your assigned manager during the interview stage.

Note: There is more to Partnership than a job—it is a relationship built on contribution, respect, alignment, and commitment. We’re not here as “employers”; we’re all Partners.
