Supermarket Assistant (Partnership Level 10)
Location: Waitrose & Partners, Billericay, CM12 9BY

As a Supermarket Assistant, you'll help shape the Waitrose experience by delivering a Partner-led service with genuine passion for food—something our competitors simply can’t match. Your dedication to going the extra mile will leave a lasting impression on every customer and foster trust and loyalty that keeps them coming back.

Additional Incentive
- Night Premium Pay: £3.75/hour for shifts worked between 22:00–06:00 (applies to all enrolled Employees).
Eligibility: Applicants must be 18+ due to UK working time regulations.
Key Responsibilities
The role requires helping the team deliver exceptional service while supporting day-to-day operations. Your tasks include:
- Stock replenishment and floor presentation to ensure shelves are fully stocked and merchandised optimally.
- E-commerce fulfilment: Picking online orders for direct-to-consumer delivery.
- Waste reduction strategies: Applying product due diligence and markdowns for stock near sell-by dates.
- Multi-team support: Assisting with checkouts, managing Click & Collect, fulfilling ad-hoc customer orders, and more as required.
- Shop tidiness and safety: Upholding a clean, well-organised work environment.

Skills & Experience
Essential
- Strong communication skills to collaborate successfully in team settings and with customers.
Desirable
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role (advantageous).
- Curated expertise in food and drink trends (passion encouraged).
- Flexibility: Willingness to accommodate shift requirements across busy periods (e.g., evenings and weekends).
Financial & Contract Info
- Salary: £13.00/hour (rising to £13.25 after 90 days in role).
- Contract Type: Permanent.
- Hours: Full-time variably scheduled, including shifts between 20:00–06:00 (Tuesday–Sunday).
