Night Replenishment, Supermarket Assistant
About The Role
As a Supermarket Assistant, you'll help our team make its difference felt by our customers on every visit, providing Partner-led service and passion for food that our competitors can't compete with – passionate partners serving food lovers! Your drive to go the extra mile will make all the difference to our customers' impression of the Waitrose brand and keep them returning for a lifetime by earning their trust and loyalty.
Due to working time regulations, applicants must be 18 years or over.
Key Responsibilities
Your role includes a variety of tasks to ensure top-notch customer service and an efficient operation:
- Stock replenishment – ensuring shelves remain full and products are in the right place at the right time for our customers.
- Online order fulfilment – preparing online customer orders for our drivers to deliver shopping directly to customers’ doors.
- Waste reduction – following product due diligence and applying markdowns to items nearing their sell-by dates.
- Team collaboration – supporting other shop team members with:
- Checkout assistance
- Managing Click & Collect orders
- Fulfilling on-demand customer orders
- General shopkeeping – maintaining a safe and tidy working environment.

Skills & Experience
Essential
- Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team and with customers.
Desirable
- Experience in a customer-facing role.
- Up-to-date knowledge and interest in food and drink trends.
- A flexible approach to supporting various sections of the branch.
