About The Role
As a Supermarket Assistant, you'll help our team make a tangible difference in customers' shopping experience by delivering Partner-led service and enriching the food journey that our competitors simply can’t match—passionate people shaping the experience for food-loving customers!
Your dedication to exceeding expectations ensures a lasting impression of the Waitrose brand, forging trust and loyalty that will turn first-time visitors into lifelong shoppers.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with working time regulations (candidates must be 18+).
- Provide exceptional customer service while overseeing operational tasks to maintain efficiency.
- Stock replenishment: Keep shelves fully stocked, ensuring products are correctly placed for optimal customer access.
- Online order fulfilment: Prepare in-store purchases for click & collect, direct-to-home deliveries, and onboard oven-ready orders.
- Wastage reduction: Follow due diligence and markdown processes to sell products nearing expiry.
- Cross-team collaboration:
- Assist at checkout stations during high traffic or busy periods.
- Fulfil custom order requests (e.g., private label or speciality items).
