Night Veterinary Nurse – Dovecote Veterinary Hospital
Location - Castle Donington, Derby
Are you an experienced and confident RVN who thrives in a fast-paced, varied hospital environment?
We're looking for a dedicated Night Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team at Dovecote Veterinary Hospital.
About Us
Dovecote is a busy referral and first opinion hospital, offering a high standard of patient care across a wide range of disciplines. With an on-site Mi-Night Vet Service, you'll be supported overnight while still enjoying the autonomy and responsibility of a rewarding night role.

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse who enjoys hands-on inpatient care and emergency work.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Monitoring and caring for hospitalised patients
- Assisting the midnight vet with emergencies
- Delivering high standards of nursing care throughout the night
- Maintaining accurate clinical records
- Supporting a smooth transition between day and night teams
Working Pattern
- Annualised hours contract – offering flexibility and a better work-life balance
- Structured rota allowing for consistent rest periods

What We're Looking For
- Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
- Confident working independently overnight
- Strong inpatient care and monitoring skills
- Calm under pressure with excellent communication
- Passionate about delivering outstanding patient care
